theme quest for Demigod
Published on October 29, 2009 By Microstar In Demigod

Hello Demigods,

i always loved building theme-decks in the TCG games i played... (Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Etherlords, Guardians...)

for instance...if i build a warrior deck...i only use warrior cards...and other things that fit warriors(axes, swords, armor....so..no spell staffs or such...i think u got what i want to say

I still feel the unexplainable pressure to make demigod item builds the same way...

In the Demigod stories u find names that show up in item-names again....

example: Mard´s Hammer is the Hammer of the guy that lies dead inside The Rook

or Vinlings Helmet is the Helmet of Torchbearer

Here is your Task:  Which of the items that do not directly lead to a suitable demigod are meant for a certain demigod...and why do u think so?

Example:

Staff of Renewal - Torchbearer - Wizard/Staff - mainly spell damage/best usage for cooldown reduce (imo)

woooooot da micro

WTF is a theme deck and how is it in relation to DG? I'm not being an ass, i really have no idea, outside of a nice graphic skateboard, as to what a theme deck could be.

WTF is a theme deck and how is it in relation to DG?

In card games like Magic: The Gathering, there are a huge number of options in terms of creatures, enchantments, equipment, and so forth for players to take advantage of.  Many of these options are unique but there are also quite a few that stylistically (and statistically) make sense going in a deck together.

For example, in the huge mix of creatures to play with, you have quite a few dragons, angels, soldiers, demons, and other types available.  There's even a set of creatures called 'Slivers' which are meant to go together with major synergistic benefits.

So to summarize, a 'Theme Deck' is a deck of these cards built around a specific theme - like sticking to the creature groups above.
